When is the best time to travel To Machu Picchu and many days should I plan my trip for?
My best friend is trying to planning a trip to Peru so that we can experience The Inca Trail, but we're not sure how to plan our trip. Also, what is the best way to reach Machu Picchu From Lima?
You have to go from Lima to Cuzco, the trail starts out near the small village. It takes about 7-8 days for travel, such as 4-day hike is for yourself (although they all have a short walk of two days). The best time is from June through August, but can go all the way through October without any problem. It may not be able to go this year because it is very late in the planning stage. Only 500 visitors are allowed per year on the track and books very early. Give it a try, but probably will have to go next year.
