How do you do To Machu Picchu?

My husband and I are looking to go to Peru to spend the holidays in late November. That probably will pass 7 days in Peru in total. We want to go To Machu Picchu, but they are really great for hikers. I've been trying to find a way to just get To Machu Picchu without making a trek of 10 days (which is all I can find). Can anyone give me any information on the train straight there? ... Or something? I just need some help in general. I can not find a good website that explains everything. I also heard that you need to wait three days to get a permit to walk ... that would only for The Inca Trail? Or if you want to Visit Machu Picchu? Thanks to all who sent you! You have given us great information!

Go to Lima to Cuzco aircraft, possibly by Lan Peru www. lan.com, or Star Aero Condor Once in Cuzco, virtually the only way to go to Machu Picchu is by train, The Inca Trail (the rise) is another option (the 2, 3 or 4 days, not 10). There are 4 types of trains and takes about 4 hours. There:-railcar (the local train. It is very cheap, travel with local people, only sometimes can not be chicken!) - Backpacker train - Vistadome - Hiram Bingham train (luxury travel), these last 3 trains are operated by Orient Express http://www.orient-express.com/web/tper/ tper_a2a_home.jsp All trains arriving in Aguas Calientes, a small village at the foot of the famous mountain of Machu Picchu, the only place where it has hotels, souvenir shops and restaurants. From here, take a bus up the hill (tickets are purchased in Aguas Calientes, unless your travel agent book in advance) buses up and down every 10 minutes from the 5:30 (to see the sunrise) until at 6:30 when they close the ruins. At the entrance of the sanctuary MP to buy the ticket to enter the ruins. Another way to go is to Ollantaytambo road and take the train from there to reach Aguas Calientes (only 1.5 hrs.) In your hotel, you may request to be handled by a taxi driver to take you to Ollantaytambo, are persons affiliated with a taxi company that offer this service as an additional income for them. Please, never, get one on the street! Here are some extra links for you: www.peru.info (Peruvian official website for tourist information) www.boletoturisticocusco.com (here Thay sell all tickets to most museums, ruins and churches, with the exception of Machu Picchu). www.cuscorestaurants.com The permit is only for The Inca Trail. Note: Cusco is 3400 meters above sea level, many People really awful mountain sickness. To help avoid this, the first day to get plenty of rest, not eating much, just a "soup diet" no coca tea and some special pills, but believe me, will not work! Simply rest the next day you feel better, and if possible, go to the Sacred Valley (Yucay, Pisac, Urubamba, Ollantaytambo and Machu Even M) in the first place is 1000 meters lower than Cusco. have a good trip!

Hello! I just wanted to ask if you ever have any issues with hackers? My last blog (wordpress) was hacked and I ended up losing many months of hard work due to no data backup. Do you have any solutions to stop hackers?
