Inca Trek

Hiking Machu Picchu?
I'm hiking to Machu Picchu with some friends to my break from college. Lately I've been having a very hard time with nightmares fall during our trek. The leader of my group had been saying it is very steep in parts. We are not doing the whole tour, Inca, we are making a series of sessions 5 hours or something. Has anyone done this before and can tell me how was it? I know this is completely irrational and stupid, but sometimes can be clumsy and am a bit weirder place. Thanks for your help.
My husband went a couple of years ago. I saw the pictures and talk to him and yes there are many parts that are very narrow but everyone remains safe (if you're not going with a group of people who think that the fool is funny). Understand that you will be very high - much, much higher than any ever been in the United States. Just prepare yourself with that. One of the girls who were with the group my husband does not even like heights, but was so impressed by the vision he has on him. Also - Chances are if you are making only a segment of 5 hours is not going to take over more areas dangerous.
