Macho Picchu
Macho Picchu
is the area of male Picchu and Cuzco in Peru safe for a single female traveler?

I think it should be as careful as in any other city: - Do not walk alone in a dark lonely street. - Do not walk away from the tourist area. - Keep your wallet and valuables close to you - At the airport / hotel tours, use a taxi driver licenses or ask you travel agent to book in advance. - Be careful that you do with friends, and certainly not drunk when you're alone in a foreign country! I recently went there with 2 girls, we had a great time and as we were 3, we venture into hiring a taxi that takes us to the Sacred Valley, you're probably only be more prudent for a road trip that is picked up from your hotel and driven to the ruins of the train station and so on. On another trip there (I live in Peru), I took a trip and I met a Mexican girl who was traveling alone, she said she felt safer with the tour instead of saving money by hiring a taxi. Tours mostly lead to the ruins in the area and leave you free to explore the city of Cusco. You should not have trouble being alone in the city if it is not wise enough to follow the rules. I must warn you: many men are out of Cusco only gringa in the hut a "" that will help them get a green card, call them "bricheros" which translates to "Bridgers" CUS girls using as a bridge to the U.S.:) Have fun here in Peru!
