Historical sites are the wonders of the world. These ancient sites were built by our ancestors and give us windows into our past. They help tell us where we come from, how we however, and how we develop. It provides information on companies long dead but not forgotten. There are many historical sites in the world, but the top four are Machu Picchu, Tikal, Angkor Wat and the Pyramids. Each of these places are the remains of cultures, once large and powerful and give us tracks in human development.

Machu Picchu means "Old Peak", this site is thousands of kilometers above sea level. This place is perched high in the Andes mountains and was once part of the Inca Empire. It is a world heritage to be preserved as it is considered a sacred place for the population local. Not much is known about the site, since it seems to be abandoned only a few hundred years after use, but many of the theory that it was a summer home for the Inca king. Each year, millions of people at risk on The Inca Trail to see this ruin.

Tikal, located in the jungles of Central America, archeology and Tikal's architecture, flora and dense forests are a popular tourist destination. Tikal is a world heritage site, with beautiful temples that give us a peak into the life of the Maya 7th century. Tikal was one of the largest in the city states of the region that was once the most powerful state in Maya. He missed the forest for centuries and has only been excavated during recent decades. Many buildings are still under forest. The crowds do not arrive here until noon for the morning, this wonderful place is all yours.

Angkor Wat-Angkor Wat and Angkor temple complex are the most visited attractions in the world. People come from around the world to see the remains of this lost city. He has appeared in many films and everyone is familiar with it. Located in Cambodia, Angkor was the capital of civilization Khmer. Built in the 12th century, hundreds of temples and structures here to explore. The most famous is the main temple of Angkor Way, Bayon, and I Phrom, the last of which appears in the film Tomb Raider. Make sure you come early to avoid crowds.

-Pyramids pyramids are most appreciated buildings that have stood the test of time. Located in Egypt on the banks of the Nile, the pyramids are a major tourist attraction. There are many pyramids in the world and about Egypt, but when people speak of the pyramids, we're talking about the great pyramids of Giza. These three giants give us ideas about ancient Egyptian culture, one of the oldest in the world. For a small fee, you can even explore the inside of these large structures, which contained more than five thousand years.

There are many historic sites in the world that are important and should be visited by tourists. However, these four are by far the most popular and largest. They are most tourists and more fame. Tourism is very beneficial for places in the world, but it is also important to remember to conserve and protect these sites as well.
