How to get from Lima to Cuzco To Machu Picchu and vice versa.?
I'm going to Lima, Peru, from December to January this year on a journey of medical volunteers. I'll be here I want to go to Lima and Machu Picchu, but I really want to climb Wayna Picchu, which means I have to be in the first 500 people at the time. I heard as the line starts to 6am, but the buses are not going to Cuzco 9am. I do not know all the sites that offer domestic flights in Peru. Here's my plan: Flight from Lima to Cuzco, spend the night, take a bus To Machu Picchu, then come back to Cuzco, spend the night flight back to Lima and then fly back to U.S. from Lima. Can anyone help me with more information about this trip? Any suggestions are appreciated!
I made the trip earlier this year, instead of flying to Cuzco you can also catch a night bus from Lima. It will give you time to adapt to better match .. Speaking of which, you might find that it affects you and you can be altitude sickness during the first days in Cuzco, so we may consider a day or two before the visit MP to acclimatize. Even if you are in fitness that will be difficult to climb Wayna Picchu, if you're not used to heights, you get out of breath easily. As for Visit Machu Picchu, I took a train from Cusco to Aguas Calientes, the small town near MP and spent the night there. Buses depart from here to MP from 5am in the morning so that if you line up early enough you can get in plenty of time to upload WP. I caught the first bus and arrived even before the people who had elevated MP night! Good luck with your journey!

Ever since its discovery by Hiram Bingham in 1911 it has puzzled and fascinated the mind of man. Up to now no one has been able to come up with a completely plausible explanation as to why the Incas built this spectacular city high up on a ridge in the rugged mountains of the Andes.
