Machu Pichu Visit

There are two basic options for the journey from Cusco to Machu Picchu. First, you have The Inca Trail, which usually takes 3 days of hard trekking through a beautiful and powerful landscape. Second, you can take the train. Ok, you can also reach the Inca citadel by helicopter, but only a few can afford to-well, youÂ'll miss the beautiful Andean landscape that comes with the trip.
Train to Machu Picchu, transport is by far the best alternative for trekking-negative: no is better or worse, just different. However charming and attractive, however, much more comfortable.
Rail services To Machu Picchu, tourist site most important Peru are operated by Peru Rail, a group company Orient Express (which also runs the exclusive Hotel Monasterio in Cusco and Miraflores Park Plaza Hotel in Lima). Trains depart from San Pedro station in Cusco (near Huanchac market), and reach the City Of Machu Picchu (Aguas Calientes) about 3 hours and 40 minutes later.
The spectacular journey begins in Cusco with a series of curves or zig-zag as it is known locally, that last half hour: the trains going up Picchu mountain, to the highest point of the city (El Arco, or the arch) and from Cusco to the village of Poroy.
The train descends into the Sacred Valley and the foothills of the Andes, along the Urubamba River, passing through a beautiful landscape full of typical Andean crops and pastures, herds of llamas, and colorful villages. Many of the old buildings of the Incas and archaeological sites can be seen throughout the trip, including the magnificent ruins Wia ± ay Wayna and QÂ'ente (hummingbird in Quechua), amid lush vegetation, near a waterfall where large colorful flowers attract hummingbirds and flowers all the time.
Alternatively at the exit of Cusco, the traveler may choose to take the train or Ollaytantambo Urubamba in the heart of the Sacred Valley of the Incas. This offers the possibility of staying longer Machu Picchu, ie without having to spend the night there, because the first trains arrive before any other, at 7 am and leave the Lost City of the Incas after each other train is gone, at 6.10pm.
As for the qualities of car, you can choose between the friction Backpacker train, the train Vistadome higher quality, or the luxury Hiram Bingham train (which departs from the village of Poroy, about 20 minutes from Cusco).
