When is the best time to visit Iquitos Peru to visit Machu Picchu and make a boat trip down the Amazon?
I love Peru! I went with my father a couple of years ago. I have not been to the Amazon, so I can not help. All year is beautiful in Peru, so if you can only go at a time, do it! Also, when going to Machu Pichu, hire a guide at the front door. It is worth having a tour of different places. You can easily lost on the site. Bring an offering on the site, some people bring coca plants, but I wish I had brought some flowers. It's not something that tourists do, but I think it is respectful and that feels right to leave something there, in a place so old and incredible. As for the best time, I went in September and it was great. It was the season low and prices were great. Have fun!
